SCOPED TECHNICAL DELIVERY

Scoped Java/Python fixes, APIs, and automations.

Data Preflight handles focused data, automation, and software work. Every request is reviewed for fit, then quoted against a written scope, timeline, and acceptance checks.

CAPABILITIES

A practical range, with honest boundaries.

These are starting categories, not rigid packages. Complexity, access, risk, and delivery format are reviewed before any project is accepted.

01DATA

Data cleanup & migration

Turn inconsistent CSV, Excel, JSON, or platform exports into a traceable delivery built to agreed rules.

  • Merge, deduplicate, reconcile, and standardize files
  • Map supplier data to a target template
  • Prepare import-ready outputs and exception reports
Describe this project
02AUTOMATION

Excel & Python automation

Replace repeated copy, paste, filtering, matching, and reporting work with a script or small local tool.

  • Recurring workbook and report generation
  • Order, payment, or inventory reconciliation
  • Reusable local scripts with operating notes
Describe this project
03DEVELOPMENT

Java & Python development

Handle a bounded feature, defect, import/export job, scheduled task, or service-side change without starting a large project.

  • Bug investigation and targeted fixes
  • Small backend features and utilities
  • Batch jobs, scheduled tasks, and data transforms
Describe this project
04INTEGRATION

API integration

Connect documented third-party APIs, translate payloads, and build narrow workflows with clear failure handling.

  • Single API endpoint or webhook integration
  • Authentication and payload mapping review
  • Retries, logs, and testable acceptance checks
Describe this project
05FILES

Batch file processing

Apply an agreed rule across many files or extract structured information from documents you are authorised to process.

  • Rename, classify, resize, or inventory files
  • Extract fields from Word, PDF, or Excel inputs
  • Generate documents from an approved template
Describe this project
06OTHER

Another technical project

Not sure where the request fits? Send a non-sensitive description. You will get a direct fit or no-fit answer before a quote.

  • Existing code, workflow, or operational problem
  • A small tool with clear inputs and outputs
  • A discovery step before a larger engagement

CLEAR STARTING OFFERS

Buy a defined first result, not an open-ended promise.

Choose the smallest useful outcome. The listed price applies only to the baseline scope; anything outside it is confirmed before you pay.

One-file cleanup

$19

Fix one agreed issue in one small CSV or Excel file and receive a checked working copy.

  • One CSV/XLSX file / up to 1,000 rows
  • One agreed cleanup rule
  • Change summary and exception list
  • One revision within the agreed rule

Data risk review

$49

A human review of one bounded file before cleanup, migration, or import work begins.

  • One CSV, Excel, or JSON file
  • Up to 10,000 rows
  • Annotated issue report
  • Priority repair plan

Dataset cleanup

From $149

A traceable cleanup against written rules, with the original source kept unchanged.

  • Up to 3 files / 25,000 rows total
  • Cleaned working files
  • Change log and validation report
  • One agreed revision round

Automation sprint

From $399

Turn one repeated Excel, Python, or file-processing workflow into a bounded reusable delivery.

  • One clearly defined workflow
  • Working script or small local tool
  • Run instructions and test evidence
  • One agreed revision round

OCR / PDF-to-table extraction is a custom add-on. Send one redacted sample page first. I extract fields you specify and put unreadable or ambiguous values on an exception list. Watermark removal and burned-in subtitle erasure are not offered.

EXAMPLE ENGAGEMENTS

Three useful starting points.

These are scope templates, not claims about customer work. Your inputs, rules, risks, and acceptance checks will be agreed before a quote.

01DATA CLEANUP

Supplier catalog → import-ready file

Typical problem: Several supplier files use different headers, identifiers, and price formats.

Possible delivery: Mapped master file, exception list, change log, and validation summary.

02AUTOMATION

Weekly Excel work → repeatable script

Typical problem: A report is rebuilt manually from multiple exports every week.

Possible delivery: Reusable local script, output workbook, run instructions, and test evidence.

03DEVELOPMENT

API or backend issue → bounded fix

Typical problem: A documented integration, batch task, or defect has a clear failing outcome.

Possible delivery: Agreed code change, tests, operating notes, and acceptance-check results.

SEE A RESULT BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Inspect real demos and a bounded internal fix.

These are our own examples, not claimed customer outcomes. They show the inputs, outputs, or acceptance checks that a scoped technical job should make visible.

SOFTWARE FIX

One reproducible backend failure

An internal enquiry API check with tested success and failure paths.

BATCH OUTPUT

CSV rows to short MP4s

Download the synthetic CSV and play the two actual text-animation outputs.

LOCAL TOOL

Check a product CSV before import

Use the free browser-local checker and compare a planned import with a current export.

BEFORE PAID WORK

No guesswork hidden inside the price.

Feasibility first

If the request is not a good fit, you will be told before files move or payment is discussed.

Scope in writing

Inputs, deliverables, checks, timing, revisions, and exclusions are recorded before work starts.

Price by request

Small jobs may use a fixed quote. Uncertain work can begin with a limited paid diagnostic or milestone.

Verifiable delivery

Results include the agreed files, code, notes, or validation evidence needed to check acceptance.

PAYMENT & MILESTONES

Know when payment is due before the work starts.

No payment is requested from the public form. Payment details are provided only after both sides have agreed to a written scope.

Written quote first

You receive the scope, deliverables, acceptance checks, exclusions, price, and payment schedule before a payment request is sent.

Small jobs: paid upfront

Projects below $200 are normally paid in full before work starts. This keeps a one-day review or small cleanup fast and uncomplicated.

Larger jobs: milestones

$200–$1,000 projects normally use 50% to start and 50% after the acceptance preview. Larger work is split into written milestones.

Traceable business payment

Payment instructions may use a Payoneer business-payment request, PayPal commercial payment, or an agreed marketplace contract. This site never collects card details.

Never send passwords, full card numbers, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or a friends-and-family payment. Platform clients remain on their platform for contracting and payment.

HOW THE ENGAGEMENT WORKS

From first message to a checked handoff.

Each stage has a clear decision point. No production access or project files are requested before fit, scope, and handling are understood.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Know the boundaries before you enquire.

What information should I send first?

Send the outcome you need, what currently goes wrong, the format or technology involved, approximate volume, target date, budget range, and expected deliverable. Do not send files, credentials, customer records, or private links in the first message.

Can you quote before seeing the real files?

A preliminary range may be possible from a clear description. A fixed quote normally requires agreed rules and, when needed, a small redacted or synthetic sample shared through an approved method.

How are revisions handled?

The number and scope of revision rounds are written into the quote. Fixes required to meet the agreed acceptance checks are distinguished from new requirements or changed business rules.

Do you accept ongoing or large projects?

The service is designed for bounded deliverables. A larger request can start with a paid diagnostic or milestone, then continue as separately scoped phases if the first result is successful.

Do you offer OCR or PDF extraction?

Yes, as a custom add-on after one redacted sample page. I extract only the fields you specify and flag unreadable values instead of guessing. I do not remove watermarks or burned-in subtitles.

How are project files handled?

The public form does not upload files. If the request is accepted, the minimum necessary data is transferred using an agreed method, used only for the written scope, and deleted on the agreed schedule.
